Data handling and AI providers

What happens to the data you provide, what goes to external AI providers, and where the binding statement is.

Short answer

The data you put into Pagioo — the brand brief, the uploaded source material and the content produced — belongs to your organisation and is used to produce content. Text and image generation also use external AI providers, which means the data needed for the operation can be processed by a third party, sometimes outside the European Union. The binding description is in the Hungarian privacy policy and the data processing agreement — this article is an overview only.

What data does Pagioo handle?

CategoryWhat we use it for
Account dataSigning in, billing, notifications, support.
Brand brief and brand voiceThe context for content production: every text is produced from it.
Source material (document, image, video)Factual grounding for content; processing (text extraction, transcription) and classification.
Produced content and versionsEditing, approval, publishing, restoring.
Channel connection authorisationsPublishing on your behalf to the channels you authorised.
Usage dataOperating the service, accounting for limits, troubleshooting.

What goes to external AI providers?

Text and image generation, and some steps of material processing, run in external AI providers' systems. That means the data needed for the operation — for example the substance of the brief and an extract of the source material used — reaches the provider, and the processing can take place outside the European Union. This is why we do not claim that all data processing stays within the EU: that would not be true.

Your rights, in practice

  • Access and export — your content can be exported, and you can submit a data request.
  • Deletion — you can delete material and content, and request deletion of your account. Deletion is permanent.
  • Correction — account and brand data can be changed at any time.
  • Data processing agreement — if you handle clients' data in Pagioo (as an agency, for example), the DPA is the relevant document.

Do the AI providers train their models on my data?

The relevant provisions of the providers' terms and of our agreements are in the privacy policy and the DPA. This is the question where only those documents can give a binding answer — which is why we point you there rather than writing an easily outdated summary here.

Does all my data stay in the EU?

We do not claim that, because it would not be true: some AI processing steps can take place at providers outside the EU. The privacy policy sets out the detail.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Cancelling does not delete data automatically: the account moves to the Free plan's terms and your content remains. If you want deletion, you have to ask for it or do it.

Who can see my uploaded material?

Team members with access to the brand. You control access on the Team page.
