Setting up notifications

What notifications exist, which to leave on, and what to do when too many or none arrive.

Short answer

The Notifications page shows what has happened in your account: content finished, something awaiting approval, a successful or failed publish, a credit warning, a team event. In settings you control which of these also reach you by email and which only need an on-screen flag. Two are worth leaving switched on: failed publishing and running low on credits — both stop the process quietly if you do not hear about them.

What notifications exist?

NotificationWhen it arrivesWorth leaving on?
Content finishedA run completed.Yes, or you will not know when to review.
Awaiting approvalA piece is waiting for a decision.Yes, if you are the approver.
Failed publishingA delivery did not succeed.Yes, always.
Running low on creditsThe balance fell below the critical level.Yes, always.
Expiring channel accessA connection's validity is nearing its end.Yes.
Team eventA new member, a role change. As you prefer.

In settings these are grouped rather than switched one by one: review (approval requests and decisions), publishing (successful and failed deliveries, expiring channel access), generation (run finished, failed, paused), Autopilot (started, skipped, low credits), account (credit warnings, weekly digest, webhook shutdown), research (report ready) and tips (onboarding reminders, recommendations).

If too many arrive

  • Switch off the email notification for content finished if you run a daily Autopilot — the on-screen flag is enough.
  • Keep the summary-style notifications and switch off the per-item ones.
  • Share them out in a team: not everyone needs everything. The approval notification belongs to the approver, not to the whole team.

If none arrive

  1. Check the spam folder

With corporate mail this is the most common cause, especially for the first messages.

  2. Check whether you confirmed your email address

With an unconfirmed address some messages do not start.

  3. Review the settings

That notification type may be switched off.

  4. Look at the Notifications page in the app

If the event is there but no email arrived, it is a delivery or filtering question — tell us.

Do team members get notifications too?

Yes, according to their own settings and their role. An approval notification, for example, goes to whoever can approve.

Is there a mobile notification?

Notifications are available in the interface and by email. The interface works on a phone browser too.

Will I get marketing email as well?

Operational notifications and marketing messages are separate, and you can unsubscribe from marketing without losing the operational ones.
