What makes it work, and what does not
Brand voice is not a style dropdown. What makes the text recognisable is that it gets a real example of how you phrase things. That makes choosing the samples more important than how many you provide.
| A good sample | Why |
|---|---|
| A blog post you wrote yourself and were happy with | Longer, connected prose: the structure and the rhythm both show. |
| A professional email to a client | Shows the real form of address and the explanatory logic. |
| A proposal or service description | Reveals how you talk about value without sounding like an advert. |
| Your own answers to frequent questions | Short, tight, question-and-answer rhythm — the voice most posts need. |
What does brand voice affect?
- Form of address — formal or informal, and keeping it consistent throughout.
- Sentence rhythm — short, segmented sentences or longer, compound structures.
- Level of technical language — using the jargon or explaining it.
- Recurring phrases — the expressions you use, and the ones you avoid.
- Structure — list-led or flowing prose.
Learning from your manual edits
When you correct a generated article by hand, that does not affect only that text. The system also learns from the pattern of your repeated corrections: if you remove the same phrase every time, or consistently cut the introduction shorter, that feeds into later generations. This is why it is worth making the corrections inside Pagioo rather than in an outside editor the system cannot see.
How many samples do I need?
Two or three genuine samples of a few paragraphs each already make a noticeable difference. Ten weak samples are worth less than two good ones.
Can I set it up on the Free plan?
The basic brand profile is on every plan, but brand-voice features start at Starter.
Does it apply to every kind of content?
To articles and social posts alike, though channel formats differ: a LinkedIn post in your voice will still be shorter and tighter than a blog article.
