What connecting requires
| Platform | What is needed | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| A Page you have permission to publish to. | Every plan, within the channel limit | |
| A business or creator account linked to a Facebook Page. A personal account cannot be published to. | Every plan, within the channel limit | |
| A profile or page you can publish to. | Growth and Scale |
Why do authorisations expire?
Because that is how the platforms work: issued authorisations are valid for a limited time, and a password change, a permission change or the platform's own security decision can revoke one earlier. This is not Pagioo's fault and cannot be avoided — only handled:
- The connection's state becomes Expired token on the Integrations page.
- Publishes scheduled until then will fail, but the content remains.
- After re-authorising, the failed publishes can be retried.
Permission error
This is the case where the connection was made but a required permission is missing — typically because not every requested access was granted during authorisation. The fix is to reconnect and grant the permissions publishing needs. Pagioo shows what is required and why before the authorisation starts.
Can Pagioo see everything in my social account?
The connection gets the access needed to publish and to show the published content's performance. Both the platform and Pagioo state what is being requested before you authorise.
Why can I not publish to my personal Instagram account?
Because Instagram only permits external publishing from a business or creator account. That is a platform rule, not a Pagioo limit.
The platform rejected my post. Now what?
The content stays in Pagioo and the publish gets a failed state with the detail. From the message you can fix the format, or reconnect the account.
