Reading the SEO/GEO report

What to look at first, how to read the score and the competitor comparison, and what to do afterwards.

Updated: 16 October 20263 min read

Short answer

The report gives three things: a picture of where you stand, a comparison showing who appears instead of you and where they are stronger, and an action plan in priority order. The most useful way to read it is backwards: the first two or three points of the action plan are what can have the biggest effect, while the score is only a starting value to compare against later. The scores are decision-support signals, not rankings.

Read it backwards

The most useful part of the report is not the beginning. Work in this order:

  1. The action plan — the first three points

This is what you can do tomorrow. The priority is not accidental: the top of the list holds the largest expected effect for the smallest effort.

  2. Content gaps

Which questions you have no answer to. This is a topic list directly: it can become your next content plan.

  3. Competitors

Who appears instead of you, and in what. Not so you can copy them, but so you can see which topic they covered and you did not.

  4. Technical findings

These are typically one-off fixes — and if someone else runs your website, this is the part to hand over.

  5. The score

Last. The score is a starting value for a later comparison, not a result in itself.

What does the score mean?

The GEO score indicates how present you are in AI answers for the questions examined. It is worth thinking of it in bands: from strong visibility, through "a good base with room to improve", to effectively not appearing at all. A single number is not a goal in itself; what is useful is measuring again with the same method three months later.

How often is it worth measuring again?

Quarterly is enough. In a month the effect of content work rarely shows, while the natural variance of AI answers does — measuring too often shows noise rather than progress.

Can I download the report?

Yes, the full research gives a shareable web report and a downloadable PDF version.

Is the report produced with my own branding?

The one-off purchase gives the standard Pagioo report. White-label output is a Scale plan capability.
