What gets transferred?
- Title and body — with the formatting you see in the editor.
- Header image — if the connection has permission to upload media.
- Metadata — per the supported settings. On WordPress with an SEO plugin this is plugin-dependent.
- Category and tags — according to the synchronised taxonomy.
- State — draft or published, as configured on the connection.
The metadata pitfall
If you do not use WordPress
Custom API publishing is fully configurable: you give the endpoint, the authentication method, and which field Pagioo should put which content into. That makes a custom CMS, a headless system or an internal portal a valid target. The detail is in Custom API connection.
A checklist for the first publish
- Is the connection's state Success on the Integrations page?
- Is the article approved (where an approval flow exists)?
- Is the target state draft or published — deliberately?
- Is the category synchronised, and did you pick the right one?
- After publishing: did the image appear? Did the SEO title and description appear?
- Do the internal links in the article work on the live site too?
Can I publish to a website on the Free plan?
Not directly: Free allows 0 website connections. You can copy the article and post it by hand. Direct publishing starts at Starter.
What happens if I edit the article in Pagioo after publishing?
A change in Pagioo does not automatically reach the already published article. If the website needs updating, publish again or edit it in the target system.
Can I publish to several websites?
Yes, up to your plan's website limit. Each site is a separate connection with its own settings.
Is the article kept if publishing fails?
Yes. The content stays in Pagioo; only the delivery failed. See Publishing failed.
