The editor: title, body, metadata

What you can edit, where the metadata lives, and why it pays to correct inside Pagioo.

Updated: 16 October 20262 min read

Short answer

Everything in a finished piece is editable in the editor: the title, the body, the subheadings, the metadata meant for search, the image and the attached social posts. Changes are kept as versions, so what came before can always be seen and restored. It is worth editing inside Pagioo rather than in an outside word processor: your manual corrections feed into how the brand voice is learned.

What can you edit?

ElementWhereWhat to watch
TitleAt the top of the piece. This is what search shows. Around 60 characters still prints in full.
BodyThe main editing surface.Paragraphs, subheadings and lists can be rearranged freely.
Meta title and descriptionAmong the SEO settings. This is what appears in the results list — it is not the same as the article's title.
Image and alt textAt the header image. You can upload your own image instead of the generated one.
Social postsAmong the attached pieces.Separate text per platform, separately editable.
Publishing settingsIn the piece's sidebar.Target channel, date, state.

Why edit inside Pagioo?

Because your manual corrections are also a signal: if you always remove the same phrase, or consistently cut the opening shorter, that is how the system learns your style. If the correction happens in an outside editor, Pagioo only sees the end result — or not even that, if it never comes back.

Do I lose my changes if I close the page?

Saved changes stay and are recorded as versions. Do not experiment with half-typed, unsaved text though — if you are making a longer rewrite, save as you go.

Can I go back to an earlier version?

Yes, you can restore from the versions — see Versions and comments.

Does editing cost credits?

Manual editing does not. Only AI operations cost credits — for example having the Writing assistant rewrite a passage.
